In the 1970s,  Silvertone as a brand slowly faded away and the instruments offered got kind of bland, really... the only real standout amongst the many rather plain acoustic guitars was the red white and blue Buck Owens model. Of course, the prices were still great and the value was there, even if 'Silvertone' had been replaced by that anonymous space-logo thingy...
