The 1454 was built by Harmony, and closely resembles the H78, save for the H78's double cutaway (more about that opposite and below). The 1454 held a top-of-the-line position in the Silvertone family, and its price reflected that; as high as $209.95 at one point, it was one of the priciest Silvertone guitars ever made available. The successor to the 1429, and the predecessor of the 1485, the beautiful 1454 was well-made and very attractive, and is still a much sought-after guitar.
Introduced: Fall / Winter 1963
Retired: Became a double-cutaway in the F/W '67 catalog, last listed as a 1454 in S/S '68.
