The 1395 amp was, like the 1393, to live only one
catalog cycle, before becoming an individual amp with its own cabinet and look.
The 1395 and 1396 shared a cabinet, and the 15" speaker yearned for its own home
in a slightly more compact space, ultimately becoming the 1394 in the
Spring/Summer '58 catalog. Lost a little power in the move, which I never
understood. The 1394 could have certainly retained the 25-watt rating without
crowding the 1396. Ah, well.
Introduced/Retired:
Fall/Winter 1957 at $119.50
as the 57DM1395.
