The 1415 and 1416 guitars
played 'clean up' for this Kay-built series. The 1415 was
just like the 1413, but with a 'paddle' headstock. The 1416 inherited the 'true
vibrato' from the 1417, and added the 'paddle'
headstock, and a new 'dark mahogany'
burst finish. Both models continued the same contoured, beveled body,
big silvery pickup, and V / T knobs; and in the 1416, the adjustable two-spring
whammy assembly. The rarest guitars of this series, lasting only two catalogs.
