The 1473 was a close cousin to the 1472/82 and he
1484/85 'TV' model
amplifiers, but still totally unique in the Silvertone line.
Nicely spec'd for a portable compact bass amp; 25 watts of power, so it could hold down the bottom pretty well,
15 inch speaker, 4 inputs and 2 channels.
Seldom seem, super rare.
Introduced:
Fall/Winter 1961 at $99.95
as the 57G1473L
Retired:
Fall/Winter 1962 at $99.95
as the 57H1473L
Here's the first Silvertone amp designed
especially for bass amplification. It was even offered as a pair with a great
Dano bass, the 'dolphin-nose' headstocked
1444. The 1444 had been introduced a coupla years
before the 1473 in Fall/Winter 1959.
