The 641 was built by Harmony, and was nothing but the
popular 615 with a larger, more 'modern'
pickguard. A year after its introduction, it became the 1210, as Sears switched
it (and every acoustic
Silvertone) from a model number with a '6' prefix to one with a '12'
prefix. There were a few late-era examples of the 1210 with slight cosmetic and other differences,
but the 641/1210 carried on the sunburst mid-range acoustic banner into mid-1969, when the 'pumpkin-colored' 1211 took over.
